On Instagram I saw a girl using real flowers to print on paper. I loved the outcome of it and thought I could also do that on fabric! So I started to collect some flowers and leaves.
What you need for this:
– flowers
– fabric paint
– paint roller/paint brush
– something you want to print it on/ piece of fabric
– old magazine
– old newspaper

I collected the flowers and went to my studio. I layed some old newspapers on my table and the flowers on that. Then I just started to roll paint over the flowers.

Make sure the plant is fully covered with paint.

Now lay the plant, right side down, on the fabric. I put a magazine over it to nicely press it on with my hands.

After a while, you can get the plant off and it will leave a nice print behind! I did quite a lot of different plants and flowers like this.

For the smaller flowers, that were fragile, I painted them with a brush. I also just pressed them on with my fingers instead of the magazine, that wasn’t necessary with this.

When it was fully dry, I ironed it to make the paint really stay.

That’s how I upcycled this blouse! It was a really fun technique to use and nice to smell the nature haha. I loved the print that the leaves and flowers gave.
I also made an Instagram video about this: https://www.instagram.com/p/CsOJcPPo7hg/
