Some time ago I bought a second hand pair of jeans for a really cheap price. But when I came home I found out there where some stains in them. I washed them but without success. So I wanted to make something over the stains. I thought flowers would be nice.
First, I drawn a flower on a piece of paper and that was my pattern for all the flowers now. I traced that pattern on a piece of fabric about ten times. Later I cut them out and had some fabric flowers!
But I couldn’t just sew the flowers on the pants, because I have no space. So I ripped the pants open at the sides using a seam ripper. Just do this carefully because you also want to use the same fabric to close it later.
Then I sewed the flowers over the stains first and then randomly on spots that were left.
I used the zigzag stitch to sew it on like a patch would look.
When I finally sewed everything on it was time to close the sides again! I just did a simple straight stitch across the same place that the original seam was.
Now I can wear it again! I think it’s a nice spring/summer D.I.Y. and a simple way to spice an old pair of jeans up. Also, great for stains that don’t come out. 😉
